Nick has received his DMV degree from the University of Liège, Belgium in 2003. Before that, he had received a MSc in biochemistry from the University of Bordeaux, France, followed by a MSc in clinical biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Surrey, UK. After graduation, he began working in a feline oriented small animal practice in Bordeaux and has happily done so for the last twenty years. Nonetheless, with a pronounced taste for challenges, unable to undertake a residency and feeling uncertain about his skills, he decided to expand his knowledge and keep intellectually fit.

To achieve that goal, he decided to get a certificate every year. He is therefore certified in some strange subjects like systemic inflammatory diseases (or rheumatology), and some key subjects like analgesia, anaesthesia, medical ethics and cancer pain. In 2019, he focused his attention back to feline medicine and became a MANZCVS. Later on he became Elite Fear Free professional, and of course, cat-friendly certified. To close the circle, his last step will be towards Fellowship of the ANZCVS, but not before finishing the Memoirs of Churchill. His motto is ‘No Pain No Pain’.
