Rachel graduated from University College Dublin in 2012 and then completed a rotating internship at Mississippi State University. Following this, she worked in primary care practice before completing a residency in cardiology at the University of Edinburgh. She obtained her Diploma in Veterinary Cardiology in 2019 and completed a Masters by Research in the same year. Following some time in private referral practice she re-joined the University of Edinburgh as a Senior Lecturer in Cardiopulmonary Medicine. She now splits her time between caring for dogs and cats on clinics, conducting research and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
