Kate graduated from the University of Bristol in 1996 and completed her residency in Small Animal Medicine there in 2000. She worked in private practice for 2 years and then returned to the University of Bristol from 2002 until 2011, where she was a Senior Clinical Fellow in Small Animal Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care and Medicine Team Leader. Kate has s worked as a Small Animal Medicine Referral Clinician in private referral practice in South West England and for Idexx providing a telemedicine service from 2017-2020. Kate now offers a medicine referral service at Rowe Referrals and works for VetCT Teleconsultation Hospital providing case support to vets around the world. Kate is an RCVS Specialist and an EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine and has interests in all aspects of medicine. She is co-author of a textbook “notes on canine internal medicine” and “Differential Diagnosis in the Dog” and is also an author on peer-reviewed publications, continuing education articles and book chapters. Kate is a pragmatic clinician who will work with clients and their referring vets to find the most logical clinical approach to investigate their pets’ problems and to support management and follow-up plans.
