Hyomi received her D.V.M. degree (2012) from Gyeongsang National University, Jinju, in the Republic of Korea. From 2012 to 2016, she enrolled for a Ph.D. course. During this course, she had lots of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of companion animals in the Department of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Small Animal) at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Gyeongsang National University.
Hyomi is an internal medicine veterinarian with 8 years clinical experience in teaching and referral animal hospitals, and 2 years in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory with certifications of the institution of clinical trial for veterinary medical devices and drugs. She is also chair of the academic committee of the Korean Society of Feline Medicine (KSFM) since 2020, and the Korean Animal Hospital Association (KAHA) since 2019. She was vice-director of the academic committee of KSFM from 2018 to 2020. Hyomi has cared for numerous feline patients requiring intensive care in gastroenterology. oncology, cardiology, nephology, neurology, and other internal medicine problems, as well as dermatology and medical checkups.
