After qualifying as a veterinary nurse in the UK 1986, Trudi worked in mixed general practice for 17 years. She later went on to study companion animal behaviour at the University of Southampton (UK) and was accepted as a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) in 1999. In 2004 she also gained accreditation as a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CCAB) and is a founder member of the Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians (FABC).

Before retiring from clinical practice in 2021 she worked as a companion animal behaviourist covering the Southwest of England, specialising in feline behaviour since 2016.

Trudi has presented talks and contributed written articles and book chapters for various organisations including the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA), British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) and iCatCare. She is also the author of ‘Practical Feline Behaviour – Understanding Cat Behaviour and Improving Welfare’.
