About the scientific programme

Our two days of talks will focus on stress and infectious disease; as we know for ourselves, and for our cats, the two are linked. The event will see opportunities to network with others and to ask the experts those burning and controversial questions in our panel discussions.

We are joined in Hong Kong by specialist Veterinary Behaviourist Sarah Heath, who will be discussing feline behaviour, chronic stress and multi-cat environments as well as joining panel discussions on managing stress and infectious disease at home, in breeding establishments and shelters. Professors Vanessa Barrs and Julia Beatty from The City University in Hong Kong will be bringing their local expertise in infectious disease, and Paulo Steagall, pioneer of the Feline Grimace Scale pain assessment tool, adds his thoughts on acute pain management as well as providing stress and pain-free neutering tips.

ISFM look forward to meeting you, in person, and learning about cats together to improve both their physical health and mental wellbeing.
