Join the ISFM 2024 Congress on a Bursary Place

As an international charity, we seek to inspire and empower as many people who share our vision of a Cat Friendly World as possible. We believe that by sharing information, skills and expertise, together we can improve the lives of cats everywhere.

We pride ourselves on widening participation in feline medicine by designing events that are accessible to all. Our ISFM 2024 Congress in Malta will explore the latest in primary ocular disease and ensure all veterinary practitioners leave feeling confident recognising, diagnosing, and managing conditions where ocular changes are a key clinical sign of disease. Featuring world-renowned international experts, ISFM Congress is an opportunity to enhance your practice and network with a supportive community of veterinary professionals.

This year, we’re offering two types of bursaries:

Who can apply?

The bursaries are available to veterinary practitioners of all levels, from low to lower middle-income countries (see list of qualifying countries below). • Place of work or study
  • Membership to any veterinary association
  • Brief biography
  • Case for support (250-500 word statement outlining the value of this opportunity to your professional development, how you plan to implement the benefits of being an ISFM Member in your learning and in practice, and how you’ll use this opportunity to promote ISFM’s Cat Friendly Principles).

  • CPD at your convenience with our programme of high-quality monthly webinars with learning you can use in clinic.
  • Events and Congress – get discounts to attend our international Congresses, renowned for their world-class CPD and great social atmosphere. Plus, full access to our ISFM Virtual Congress platform, which has all the content from our Dublin Congress 2023 and will host all the content from our Malta Congress in 2024.
  • Clinical Club – a monthly Zoom meeting providing the opportunity to discuss clinical issues and cases with other practitioners.
  • Research Roundup – receive monthly summaries of some of the latest clinically relevant science from JFMS and other journals.

Bursary applications will open on 5 February 2024 and close on 3 May 2024.

Bursary applications will be assessed by the Congress and veterinary team at ISFM. Successful applicants will be notified by email by the middle of May 2024.

International Cat Care request that those receiving a bursary agree to disseminate what they have learnt to colleagues and fellow students and allow the charity to share their story and experience of how ISFM has benefitted them for promotional marketing purposes.
