ISFM International Feline Congress Terms and Conditions

Definitions
“ISFM” – the International Society of Feline Medicine, the veterinary division of International Cat Care, Place Farm, Tisbury, Wiltshire, SP3 6LW, UK, reg charity 1117342 (England and Wales)
The “Event” – ISFM International Feline Congress
“Available Dates” – The content will be available between 8th August and 10th September
The “Event Platform” – The congress is being hosted on WorkCast for the Available Dates
“Terms” – The terms and conditions identified in this document.
The “Content” – all materials held within the Event Platform
“Delegate” – The attendee to the Event
General
By accessing the Event Platform you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept with these terms and conditions, you must discontinue accessing the Event Platform.
ISFM may revise these Terms at any time by updating this website; we will inform you in writing of any changes made to these Terms. Accessing the Event Platform after such changes are posted will indicate your agreement to the revised terms. You should visit this page periodically to review these Terms
If a court with authority over these Terms finds any part of it unenforceable, you and we agree that the court should modify the terms to make that part enforceable while still achieving its intent. If the court cannot do that, you and we agree to ask the court to remove that unenforceable part and still enforce the rest of these Terms.
If we don’t act to enforce a breach of these Terms, that does not mean that ISFM has waived its right to enforce these Terms. You may not assign or transfer these Terms to anyone without our consent. However, you agree that ISFM may assign its responsibilities under these Terms to its affiliates or a party that buys it without your consent. There are no third-party beneficiaries to these Terms.
Ownership of Material & Intellectual Property Rights
All materials displayed or otherwise accessible through this website, including, without limitation, articles, text, photographs, images and videos are protected under the law of England and foreign copyright or other laws, and are owned by ISFM or their partner(s).
Any use, reproduction, modification, alteration, public performance or display, uploading or posting onto the internet, or other exploitation of this website or of any content, whether in whole or in part is prohibited without the express written permission of ISFM.
Disclaimers
Whilst the programme is correct at the time of going to press, ISFM reserves the right to change details of the Event without notice. Alterations may occasionally be necessary due to circumstances beyond our control.
Where circumstances force ISFM to cancel an Event or any part thereof, the liability of ISFM shall be limited to a refund of any fees paid for that particular Event or part thereof. The Delegate agrees that the authority to cancel an Event rests exclusively with ISFM and accepts its motives are fair and appropriate.
ISFM shall not be liable to the Delegate for any loss of profit or anticipated revenue, loss of time, loss of opportunities or for any indirect or consequential losses, however arising, and ISFM’s total liability to you in respect of all losses shall not exceed the booking fee actually paid by the Delegate (providing that nothing in these T&C’s shall limit or exclude ISFM’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence).
Views expressed by speakers are their own. ISFM disclaims any liabilities for any advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker at the event or in any documentation provided to Delegates.
By using the Event Platform, you may encounter content or information that might be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, misleading, illegal, offensive or otherwise harmful. ISFM may not review all content provided by our users or others. You agree that we are not responsible for others’ (including other Users) content or information. We cannot always prevent misuse of our Event Platform, and you agree that we are not responsible for any such misuse.
Complaints Regarding Content
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. We require that information posted by Users be accurate and not in violation of the intellectual property rights or other rights of third parties. Users can report content within the platform, or by submitting a case to the community team.
Payment
The Event is free to all attendees for the duration of the Available Dates. ISFM reserves the right to charge for or restrict access to the Content outside of the Available Dates.
Event Eligibility
The Event is not for use by anyone under the age of 16. By accessing the Event Platform, you agree that; You are the “Minimum Age”, or older.
“Minimum Age” means 16 years old. However, if law requires that you must be older in order for ISFM to lawfully provide access the Event Platform to you without parental consent (including using your personal data) then the Minimum Age is such older age.
Service Availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of our Event or Event Platform. We may also modify our prices effective prospectively upon reasonable notice to the extent allowed under the law.
We don’t promise to store or keep showing any information and content that you’ve posted. You agree that we have no obligation to store, maintain or provide you a copy of any content or information that you or others provide, except to the extent required by applicable law and as noted in our Privacy Policy.
Limits
ISFM reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, or the law, or are misusing the Event Platform.
No Warranty
ISFM and its affiliates make no representation or warranty about the service, including any representation that the services will be uninterrupted or error free, and provide the services (including content and information) on an “As Is” and “As Available” basis to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, ISFM and its affiliates disclaim any implied or statutory warranty, including any implied warranty of title, accuracy of data, non-infringement, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Governing Law
This Contract is governed by English law. You hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts notwithstanding the jurisdiction where you are based.
If any English court or competent authority decides that any of the provisions of this Contract are invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, the term will, to that extent only, be severed from the remaining terms, which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We will respond to any complaint or query received within five working days. This may be an acknowledgement that we have received a complaint whilst further investigations are carried out.
Data Policy
In accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation personal information held in both computerised and manually filed records will:
- Be obtained and processed fairly and lawfully
- Be used only for the specific purposes for which it was obtained and not in any manner incompatible with those purposes
- Be adequate, relevant and not excessive for those purposes
- Not kept longer than is necessary for those purposes
- Be processed in accordance with individuals’ rights under the Act
- Be protected from unauthorised access, unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage
Not be transferred to a country which does not ensure adequate protection for the rights of individuals in relation to the processing of personal information
