Margaret is our Veterinary Publications Managing Editor (JFMS and JFMS Open Reports)
Margaret is part of our ISFM team, overseeing the production and steering the development of iCatCare’s flagship peer-reviewed veterinary journals, Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery (JFMS) and JFMS Open Reports. She is involved in all aspects, but takes particular responsibility for commissioning and managing the peer-review process of the clinical reviews in the ‘Clinical Practice’ editions of JFMS, and producing the consensus guidelines articles.
Following a biological sciences degree at Nottingham University in the UK, Margaret pursued her interest in animals and their welfare by joining the veterinary publications team at the British Veterinary Association in London. There she gained editorial and publishing experience on a number of veterinary and nursing publications – Veterinary Record, In Practice, Journal of Small Animal Practice, Equine Veterinary Journal and Veterinary Nursing Journal. She joined International Cat Care in 2008, principally to introduce the Clinical Practice editions of JFMS, which launched in 2009. These have established themselves as a hugely popular resource for feline veterinarians and general practitioners around the world seeking to improve their management of feline cases.
Margaret grew up with a bevy of beloved family cats and dogs, but it was Brian, her ginger rescue cat, who really stole her heart. Her household currently boasts two cheeky Scottish terriers, Danny-Boy and Bonni.
