Hannah is Veterinary Publications Assistant Editor.
Hannah is part of our ISFM Team and helps with the production of the Classic and Clinical Practice issues of the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery (JFMS) and JFMS Open Reports. This involves copy editing and proofreading, liaising with authors, editors and the publisher, SAGE, as well as producing pages in QuarkXPress and promoting journal articles via social media and press/news releases.
Hannah graduated in 1996 with a degree in archaeology and history. Following a year with Element Books as a production assistant in their book production department, she joined Techset Composition Ltd as an editorial assistant helping to produce scientific, technical and medical (STM) books and journals, in particular for Stockton Press (Palgrave Macmillan). In 2001, Hannah became an editorial manager with responsibility for project managing books and journals for several leading STM publishers, and has worked with a range of academic publishers over her career, including The Geological Society of London, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press, John Wiley & Sons, Inc., Multilingual Matters and Taylor and Francis, and many others. In 2016, Hannah became a freelance project manager and copy editor. Hannah joined International Cat Care in 2019 to help with the veterinary publications.
She is owned by gorgeous Gussie, a black and very fluffy moggy.
