About the scientific programme

This year’s congress is open to veterinary professionals and behaviourists covering the topic Feline fine: how to create harmony between physical health and mental wellbeing in your treatment and management of feline cases.

Over four days, the congress will provide high-level yet practical lectures, complemented by in-depth masterclasses looking into pain management, neurology and evolving your Cat Friendly skills. In addition, there will be Q&A sessions giving you the opportunity to ask any burning questions and look beyond the talks. Expect lively debate and many practical tips!

Our speakers are experts in their fields and passionate about feline welfare. Sarah Heath needs little introduction as a specialist in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine and will be speaking on various topics including chronic pain and its effect on behaviour. Danièlle Gunn-Moore is a Professor of Feline Medicine at Edinburgh University and will be examining conditions such as cognitive dysfunction and idiopathic cystitis, as well as discussing potential name changes of these conditions. Clare Rusbridge brings her extensive experience in feline neurology and Matt Gurney will discuss his ‘Zero pain philosophy’ and the relationship between pain and mental wellbeing.

There will be many more talks from our own ISFM experts on Cat Friendly Clinic, feline emotions and inappetent cats, plus our sponsored sessions from our platinum partners.
