Thank you so much to everyone who entered our 2017 'Street Cats' photography competition – over 2,100 fantastic images from photographers in 56 different countries were sent in!
We were searching for images of street cats (also thought of as stray cats, feral cats or community cats) which captured the character of these amazing cats surviving without owners and reflected the reality of a life on the streets, in order to inspire change and raise awareness of the plight of street cats.
The judges from iCatCare had the privileged but difficult task of whittling the entries down to just 12 winners, whose images can be viewed below. For a behind the scenes look at the judging click here.

All twelve winners each received a certificate, copies of the 2018 calendar their image featured in and a selection of iCatCare merchandise. Winners were also invited to attend iCatCare’s annual awards event in London, UK, on 14 July 2017, where the overall winner, Catan Ngan, who received £500 in prize money and whose image graced the front cover of the calendar was announced.

As our overall winner Catan received £500, a selection of iCatCare merchandise and a certificate. His winning image also featured on the cover of our 2018 Street Cats calendar which was sold to raise funds to support our work in improving the health and welfare of cats worldwide.
The 13th winner:
Congratulations to Neeraj Saxena from India – our final 'Street Cats' photography competition winner!
Because so many amazing entries were sent in we opened a public vote for a 13th winner to be chosen. Neeraj's image received an impressive 539 votes and featured alongside the dates for 2019 at the end of our 2018 'Street Cats' charity calendar.
