An enchanting new book for children – Purrball meets Burrball in Brazil – which follows the adventures and friendship of a cat and a sloth, is not only a must-have book for childrean and adults, but proceeds from the sale will go towards International Cat Care.
Anne Zoet is a children's author from the sunny west coast of the US. She is also creative director for technology giants and startups in Silicon Valley. She is a big animal fan (she has three cats) and her passion for art, words, the environment and animals have all been brought together in this lovely new book.
It's a super tale, told in verse with gorgeous illustrations. An earthquake strikes while the Brenna family is at the São Paulo airport and their beloved cat, Purrball, is lost in the ensuing chaos. Purrball's panicked dash leaves her lost in the surrounding jungle where she meets a very clever sloth she names Burrball. They quickly become fast friends and Purrball's speed and Burrball's calm pace form a lovely complement in their quest to find Purrball's family.
To reflect the main characters and her own love for cats and sloths, Anne has very generously decided to donate a portion of sales of the hardcover book made at purrballandburrball.com help International Cat Care and Green Heritage Fund Suriname (a great charity which cares for sloths.)
