Nikki graduated from the RVC in 2003 and went straight into a busy first opinion practice in Greater London. After some time working in Australia Nikki returned to London and became the head vet at ‘Kitten to Cat’ – which was then the only cat-only clinic in London. Nikki worked here for ten years interspersed with travels and volunteering on feline projects in Portugal and India. During this time Nikki was also involved in various projects for ISFM such as the Easy to Give Awards and became a contributor then marker for the nursing certificate and diploma and the Cat Friendly Clinic module of the behaviour diploma.
Nikki has written various articles for the veterinary press and published cases to Feline Medicine: Test & Review. In 2014, Nikki gained my membership in Feline Medicine with ANZCVS and then became a mentor. With a strong passion also for practice standards, Nikki became a part-time Practice Standards Scheme Assessor for the RCVS and in 2015 also attained RCVS Advanced Practitioner status.
Nikki now works part-time alongside caring for my young family at The Cat Doctor – a home-visiting service for SW London and Surrey and enjoy continuing my interest in dentistry, ultrasound and geriatric medicine.
