After qualifying as a veterinary nurse in the UK 1986, Trudi worked in mixed general practice for 17 years. She later went on to study companion animal behaviour at the University of Southampton (UK) and was accepted as a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors in 1999. In 2004 she also gained accreditation as a Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist. Trudi runs a clinical feline behaviour practice covering the South West of England and has presented talks and contributed written articles and book chapters for various organisations including the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA), British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) and iCatCare. She is also a contributor and marker for the ISFM and iCatCare online behaviour courses, and the author of the book ‘Practical Feline Behaviour – Understanding Cat Behaviour and Improving Welfare’.
Although Trudi lives for most of the year in Wiltshire, UK with her husband and small, but very important Siamese cat, she is also a regular traveller to Southern India.
