Lissie graduated with honours from the University of Bristol in 2011. Since graduating, Lissie has always been keen to pursue specialism in small animal surgery. She went on to complete an internship at the University of Bristol before working in various small animal practices. Subsequently she worked as a clinical research assistant at the University of Liverpool, undertaking data collection and analysis of several projects during this time. Lissie undertook a surgical internship and residency program in small animal surgery at the University of Edinburgh. She became a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgery in 2020. Lissie is enjoys all aspects of small animal soft tissue surgery but has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy and thoracoscopy) and urogenital surgery.
