With more than 15 years of experience behind him as a veterinarian specializing in feline medicine, Joaquín is in love with cats and the person in charge of Amigato Clínica Felina, a cat only practice in Murcia (Spain).He graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2001 from the University of Murcia. He obtained his Feline Clinic General Medicine Certificate from ESVPS (European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies) in 2010 and his Feline Medicine Accreditation from AVEPA (Association of Spanish Veterinary Specialists in Small Animals) in 2020.
He is also a founding member of Hospital de Veterinary Emergencies of the Region of Murcia in which he develops his work as a veterinarian specializing in cats. He is a member of GEMFE (Group of Specialists in Feline Medicine) as well as ISFM (International Society of Feline Medicine).His main areas of interest in feline medicine include: internal medicine, dentistry, behavior, infectious diseases, oncology, diagnostic imaging, and anesthesia. He is the author of various clinical cases in feline medicine and has also been a speaker at various national conferences on the specialty. He currently runs the Feline Medicine Reference Service at Amigato Clínica Felina, aimed at helping other clinical veterinarians in feline medicine cases.
