Ildiko graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1993,having been determined to be a vet since the age of 7. Over the last 25 years, she has worked primarily as a general practitioner, with a special interest in felines. After 10 years working in the UK, Ildiko moved to Australia, where she obtained her membership in feline medicine in 2008. My current role at a large not-for-profit animal hospital in Melbourne provides me with a large feline caseload with the benefit of helping clients with limited financial means.
As an Academic Associate at the University of Melbourne, this enables her to share her knowledge with the next generation of veterinarians.
Ildiko’s main feline interests include geriatric medicine, endocrinology and infectious disease. In 2019, I co-authored a paper on feline parvovirus and have presented two abstracts at the ISFM European congress.
In a rapidly changing world, Ildiko is passionate about continuing education and promoting high standards within the profession.
