Cheryl graduated from veterinary school from Michigan State University in 1997. She completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery in a private multi specialty referral hospital in 1998, then completed a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine through Michigan State University in 2001, with board certification in 2002. More recently, Cheryl completed a graduate certificate through the College of Integrative Veterinary Medicine in Western Herbal Medicine in 2019. She is a staff internist in a multi-specialty level 1 trauma hospital (Oakland Veterinary Referral Services) in a suburb of Detroit Michigan. Her interests lie in hematology, Liver and GI disease, integrative therapies, and palliative care, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Western Herbal Medicine, Infectious disease and One Health.
