Andy qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1994 and spent his first three years after graduation in mixed practice in Somerset before deciding to head off ‘downunder’ – to New Zealand initially, followed by 18 years in bayside Melbourne, Australia. In 2017 his antipodean trip turned full circle when he returned to work full time at the UK practice his career started in. Garston Veterinary Group is a large independent rural practice with farm, equine & small animal departments. Andy has enjoyed helping to build its strong cat friendly focus with the support of all its staff, and is an ardent believer that any general practice can provide their clients with a high standard of feline care.
Throughout his career Andy has had a keen interest in general surgery and all aspects of small animal medicine. He has worked in general practice, feline only practice, feline charity practice, and as a locum.
