Dafni is from Greece but moved to the UK to study at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (University of Edinburgh), where she qualified as a vet in 2015. She initially worked in first opinion general practice, prior to pursuing specialist training. She undertook a rotating internship and a postgraduate diploma in veterinary clinical practice at the University of Bristol.
She then returned to the University of Edinburgh for a neurology-specific internship, followed by an ECVN residency combined with a professional doctorate, before finally becoming an ECVN diplomate and EBVS specialist in veterinary neurology. She also holds a certificate of feline behaviour from ISFM. Dafni works primarily in clinical practice as a veterinary neurologist and neurosurgeon, and has a particular interest in feline neurology.
