ISFM UK Feline Congress: Statement on Covid-19

International Cat Care, together with the International Society of Feline Medicine, is monitoring and following the advice given by the UK government and unless anything changes and WHO (The World Health Organisation) issue a statement advising otherwise, the ISFM UK Feline Congress on March 13th and 14th, will continue as planned.

The Congress venue, Heythrop Park Resort, is also currently operating under government guidelines and is open for business as usual. The hotel is taking all necessary steps to help prevent the spread of infections and there is a robust training programme in place for all team members in the event of any team member or guest presenting any symptoms. In line with government advice, personal hygiene is crucial to stopping the spread of germs and the hotel have recently installed hand sanitiser across the property.

Please be assured that International Cat Care takes the health and safety of our speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, delegates and staff very seriously and it is our first priority. Although the risk to individuals is low, we will be putting measures in place to ensure you are all properly looked after.

  • We are following advice given to us by the venue, information provided by the government and The World Health Organisation which can be accessed here.
  • We will ensure there is plenty of sanitation products readily available and that Heythrop Park has a sufficient medical plan in place should anyone fall ill during the congress.
  • All areas of hospitality will be carefully monitored and managed to ensure there is very little risk of transmission via food and beverages.

International Cat Care will provide any updates here. Should we make the decision to cancel the conference, you will be notified by email.

Before travelling to the ISFM UK Feline Congress, we recommend that you stay informed of any information your national & local public health authorities may make available and take reasonable precautions to protect yourself & others.

On-site, please follow the basic hygiene advice given here.
